Reception of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Rome for the Anniversary of the Uzbek Constitution

On December 3, the Italy-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (CIUZ) participated, at the invitation of the Uzbek Embassy in Italy, in a reception held at the Galleria del Cardinale Colonna in Rome. Representing the Chamber were Giorgio Veronesi, Giuseppe Ferrario, Marco Farci, Samantha Rampini, and Maria Mengoni.

The event featured a rich cultural program celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the Uzbek Constitution, including traditional music, dance performances, and a typical Uzbek dinner. Many key organizations, associations, and companies engaged with Uzbekistan in Italy, alongside prominent institutional and ministerial figures, were in attendance.

H.E. Ambassador Abat Fayzullaev delivered a speech highlighting the increasingly robust relationship between the two countries. He specifically mentioned the recent visit of Italy’s Minister of Universities and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, to Tashkent, the First Italy-Uzbekistan Rectors’ Forum, and the upcoming Lombardy-Uzbekistan Business Forum scheduled to take place in Samarkand in 2025. A special acknowledgment was given to Marco Farci, Vice President of CIUZ, for his dedication to fostering institutional cooperation.

This was followed by a notable address by the Hon. Edmondo Cirielli, Italy’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, who expressed his deep appreciation for Uzbekistan and a strong desire to return to the country.

The celebration served as an excellent opportunity to bring together Italian and Uzbek stakeholders, emphasizing the growing synergy between the two nations in institutional, economic, and cultural spheres. The presence of high-profile representatives and the shared enthusiasm underscored the potential for increasingly broad and structured collaboration. CIUZ warmly embraced the occasion to strengthen relationships with institutional and commercial partners, reaffirming its pivotal role in promoting bilateral relations between Italy and Uzbekistan.
