Role and Mission
CIUZ is a non-political, non-profit organization whose statutory purpose is to create, enhance and strengthen Italy-Uzbekistan relations, in order to foster the development of commercial, cultural, social and economic relations between the two countries.
CIUZ was founded in Milan on November 15th 2002. In 2006 it received official recognition and was registered in the Mixed Chambers Registry under Number 36 on March 2nd 2006. It then became part of the system of the Mixed and Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Italy.
Over the past 20 years of its activity, CIUZ has established a solid network of contacts with institutions and businesses, as well as a deep knowledge of both the opportunities and the challenges associated with said exchanges.
In order to achieve its institutional goals, CIUZ carries out various activities:
- It promotes, facilitates and organizes meetings, business missions, contacts, and cooperation between entrepreneurs, professionals from various sectors, and institutional representatives both in Italy and Uzbekistan.
- It organizes presentations, participation in trade events and fairs, workshops and study days about topics and sectors of greatest interest.
- It connects members with different backgrounds, united by specific interests, to cooperate on projects for mutual benefits.
Furthermore, through its Tashkent office CIUZ can provide a valid local support, specifically offering:
- Consulting services, guidance and market research on the respective local markets;
- Assistance in the processing of technical and commercial offers in various sectors;
- Assistance in the preparation of documentation for opening representative offices and accrediting Italian companies;
- Legal advice on local bureaucracy procedures;
- Translation and consecutive and simultaneous interpreting services in Russian, Italian and Uzbek;
- Assistance in the procedures to obtain business visas.
